GlassLand The Story

In a land of glass ruled by rubber people, it's not easy being metal.  Sneered at because you look funny.  Despised for that dink sound you make.  Yep, tiptoeing through life so you don't break anything can be a tough way to grow up.

Jump into GlassLand and smash, crash, crack and break.  Journey to Crystal City. Discover the secrets behind rubber power.  Join the resistance and smash your way to freedom!.

The Test
If you found this website, you were likely asked to become a tester for GlassLand. We can't thank you enough for taking the time to test our game.  GlassLand has been in production for just over 1 year and we're finally ready to let friends and strangers check out our first 15 levels.  Our goal is to ultimately craft 35 levels of breaking, smashing, cracking gaming goodness.  But we need help from people who are not emotionally invested to give us real feedback.  I've made a personal pledge to not release another game unless it's fun.  Above all else, it must be fun.

How the Test Works
Just click the link on the right and fill out a short form in order to join the GlassLand Testing Team.  This will sign you up with TestFlight, the service we are using to test our game.

Supported Devices:  (The following devices are currently supported by our game.)
iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPad 1, iPad 2
(Sorry Android fans, just iOS for now.  Android is next)
We also plan to have future support for slower iOS devices such as the iPhone 3GS.

What we Need And What You can Expect
At the end of each game level, you will be asked a few questions about your experience.  Please be honest and direct.  All feedback is anonymous unless we e-mail you about it and then it's not anonymous anymore. Seriously though, we need real feedback.  So tell us what you really think.

We figure it will take about 1 hour of dedicated playing time to complete the first 15 levels and give feedback. You may want or need to run through some levels more than once.  (That will be more of a need for those of you with a deep seeded obsession with getting good grades) .  That's ok.  That's how the game is designed.  Feel free to provide feedback as many times as you want.

Deadlines, Deadlines
The Beta test will last one week from the time you receive the beta build so please try to get through the entire game within 1 week.  After we complete the beta and analyze the results, we'll likely send out a follow-up e-mail requesting more in depth information about specific levels.

Some items to note:

  • Music is not yet completed, the intro music is a short snippet of the overall compilation.
  • We are using the TestFlight SDK to present the questions and feedback.  While it helps us compile the information much more easily, it is limited in a number of ways:
  • The TestFlight UI supports portrait only on iPhone devices, so you will be turning your device to answer questions and provide optional feedback at the end of each level.
  • TestFlight SDK does not support multiple questions per checkpoint, so they have to be presented one at a time.
  • The TestFlight UI does not provide callbacks, so in order to register button presses, we have added GlassLand UI elements that are would not normally be there during regular play.

So look to the right and enter your e-mail in the e-mail address submission form.
